The Wealthy Affiliate Scam Review – The Inside Story

Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?
The view from the inside.

I have checked out Wealthy Affiliate for the last 8 months and you will be surprised at what I have found.

Before I started with Wealthy Affiliate I was looking for something to invest in.  I had heard of Binary Options and checked out many sites as well as the reviews for each system.

I wasn't overly impressed because the more I looked into binary options the more I realised they were a massive gamble, plus my money would not be available instantly.  The returns looked amazing but then again so do the odds on gambling look amazing.

I think that Binary Options are for people who have some spare cash lying around.  I wasn't one of those people.

Luckily I came across a number of sites praising the benefits of online marketing.  I have never really understood online marketing but was inquisitive enough to check out a few sites.

Most of the advertisers were reasonable but when I delved deeper quite a number of them had hidden costs.  So I felt a bit despondent and felt that any training I would need was going to cost me a tidy sum.

Then I came across Wealthy Affiliate and found that they had a 7-day free trial, so I decided to take a look and see if they were legit in their claims.  I also wanted to see if there were any hidden costs.

I have been in business so I do know that nothing in business is free so I was prepared to finance my own business but not have to pay an arm and a leg to do so.

So, I checked out Wealthy Affiliate.  I thought I would use up their 7-day free trial.  After 2 days I decided to sign up and take advantage of the full membership.

Everything is going to be alright
What if there is nothing to worry about?

You may ask why I did this after such a short time?

The decision was easy because after I joined I was immediately enrolled in their certification course.  The course was very simple to follow.

The course showed me how to set up a website and optimise it for SEO.  How to create good content and how to get traffic to my website.

I loved the fact that they ask you to make a commitment to their training.

Giving them a fair go to help you achieve success with their system seemed a reasonable request.

Now I fully understand that for Wealthy Affiliate to succeed they really need to give you the ‘inside' information on how to be successful in online marketing.

They aren't a ‘start-up' company, they have been at this since 2002!  That speaks for itself. I researched a lot of reviews to see what negatives there were about this company.  All the negative reviews I found (which weren't many) have been mainly from whingers who would complain about almost anything.

That says a lot about a company who have been going for this length of time to not have a whole host of negative reviews.

Why am I still with Wealthy Affiliate?

You would think that after my introductory offer and training that I would have left Wealthy Affiliate and pursued my own interests.

Although I would agree with you, the truth is they have such a wealth of information there and there are many successful people on Wealthy Affiliate who provide training from their own experience.

This is in itself a bonus to hear from people out in the field who are experiencing success and are willing to share their ‘secret's' without any financial reward.

Even though I am always sceptical of people making money in their first few weeks of setting up their own website, it does happen.

This has not been my experience.  I have been making some money online so can see the benefit of continuing on this path I have set for myself.

In the end, though this is not about me it's about you and whether what I am telling you is the truth?

Let me explain further.

I have now been with Wealthy Affiliate for just over 8 months and in that time I have gained so much valuable information.

When I came to them I really didn't understand anything about making money online but now I have gained enough skills from their training to carry me on in my ambitions to make a full-time income and be able to do this anywhere in the world.

How long does it take?

That depends on how many hours you can put in each week.  If you treat it like a job and are consistent you could be making a realistic income from your online marketing business.

It also depends on what experience you come in with.  Do you have online experience?  Have you sold anything online?  How well do you know WordPress?

If you are brand new at this, it will obviously take you longer than an experienced person but in the end, you will have a business that you can do anywhere in the world.

This is a very exciting opportunity and not one to be taken lightly.  You end up with a business that you alone control with help along the way.

What does Wealthy Affiliate offer?

You are given 7 days for free to check out their training and put it into practice.  You will also be able to set up 2 free websites and 2 paid websites.

Their certification course will take you from beginner to experienced online marketer in a very short period of time.  You could do the course in one month if you are a very focussed person.

It took me 7 months to complete their course and I have learned so much.

There are also some very experienced people who have been able to offer me solutions to questions I have asked.

I also put together my 3 rules for success in online marketing you may want to read to get a fuller explanation of this opportunity: 3 Pillars for Success.

Other than that you could try the free trial: 7-day free trial of Wealthy Affiliate.

  1. This page is really helpful because I have definitely been on edge about upgrading my membership. I’ve been scammed so many times by online money-making sites. And this one seems to be legit. They provide step-by-step information on how to build your business and they are there whenever you need them. So I’m going to make that move and upgrade my membership. Thanks for your help.

    1. I am glad this has been of help to you, Garrett, I am sure by following the training you will do well. There are a number of them that keep asking for more and more money with no appreciable return.

  3. Wealthy Affiliate has been a wonderful experience for me, especially from being a newbie who has never done any type of online marketing prior. I am still working to build my foundation, I have two beautiful blogs that I am passionate about and love sharing information to my audience. This is definitely a business that anyone, with any background and experience can dive into, just make the time and give the effort, be patient and you will reap the benefits of your efforts.

  4. I understand why you upgraded before the 7 day trial was up. I did the same thing after I joined within a day or two! I don’t regret it and have already learned a lot more in just a few days than I have in the past wasting far too much time and money for nothing. Thanks for doing the WA Scam Review!
