Pomp Pomp – Pomp Pomp Pomp

A castle depicting style and elegance
Could you live like this?

What's all this pomp about?

The reason I used that title is because it sounds like you could play it as a beat on a drum, it is very upbeat.  🙂

Pomp Pomp is what you deserve every day of your life.  That feeling of, you are important, you mean something and deserve respect.

It's all about getting treated like royalty.  How do you get treated like royalty?

It starts with you.  What do you think you deserve?  Do you think you are worth this kind of respect?

If you don't think so then the first thing you have to work on is your attitude.  Most things in your life come to you because of your thinking.  When you change the way you think you also change the way you act.

Pomp Pomp, if you think and act like a wealthy/royal person you will be treated as such.

How is this possible?

You may not want to do this but try it out, it's fun.  Dress like someone of importance and act the part.  Go out and try it at a place you have never gone to before and see if you can convince someone of your importance.

Be respectful and always treat people with great respect – that's a sign of a great person.

Pomp does not mean being snobby or crass, it means having the best in life.

See if you are indeed worthy of that kind of respect.  Practice and have fun with this.  At first, it will feel very uncomfortable until you convince yourself you are worthy of that kind of respect.

Will people open doors for you?

The truth is when you treat others like royalty they will start to treat you respectfully.

This will be especially true of people who don't know you.  For people who know you, this will take time.

Pomp requires looking magnificent and being the best you can be.  Treat yourself as you REALLY want to be treated.

Then the question becomes do you want the best that life has to offer?

Are you ready for the best that life has to offer?

Often times you will hear people say they want to be rich and then never work another day in their lives.  I am afraid it doesn't work like that.  I am not saying there aren't exceptions but as a general rule, you have to work at success daily.

All top performers in any discipline have had to work very hard to get to the top.

There is no free lunch

If it were easy to be wealthy, we would all be wealthy.

The truth is, to get to the top you will have to be prepared to change everything about yourself for the better.  That's good news, isn't it?  Becoming a better you?

You've heard ‘fake it until you make it?'  This is what I am talking about, become what you want to end up being.

It's really up to you and your belief system as to what you are capable of doing.

It's too easy to blame environmental circumstances for your station in life.  For every downtrodden person, there is one shining example of a person who overcame those conditions.

Where to from here?

The next step/s are up to you.  Try something different today and experience something you have never experienced before…a better life, a better you.

If you keep doing the same thing every day you can only expect the same results.  Try something different today and experience a different result.

Keep working at your goals and see what you can achieve over one year.  Getting to the top is a tough climb but worth the effort.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this and whether you have tried to do this?  Please comment, I always reply to every comment here.

Have a great day today and every day.

  1. Thank you for the post. I have read similar thoughts on the give and give before you can expect to receive. (These days, it can seem it takes a lot more giving before believe this is truly your personality and giving jus to get). I have a terrible habit of being more self deprecating than loving. This is excellent advice and I will give treating others and myself like royalty. The pomp pomp effect! 🙂

  2. Good idea. Dress up and feel like royalty and others will believe that you are and treat you in such a way. It wouldn’t always work but I could see how it would work with a lot of people. Attitude is everything after all and if you treat others the way that you want to be treated, they may reciprocate. It’s the golden rule.

    1. Thanks, Patricia, you are right it may not work every time because it’s uncomfortable to be other than who you are but it lifts the game and in the end it is a game changer.

  3. If I had a choice, I would choose a green engine. Thes articles are “thought provoking.” Made me sit back and wonder what life is all about; this is good advice for living.

A cheer in Spanish says Love, Health, Money and Time to spend all that money. I see all four represented here in your posts. Oh and I lmost forgot about the one on coaching.

  4. Someone once told me “Dress for Success” which dates me of course but really is applicable.

W Clement Stone said, “You will become what you think about” as did a few others.

You are right on the money when it comes to mindset and belief. Believe it and you can achieve it.

All wonderful if we are pointed in the right direction. So, follow your dreams.

  5. Great post. A friend of mine and I were just discussing this topic the other day. How it’s important to project out to others the way you would like to be seen by them and treated and also to really feel that you are what you’re projecting. How we think is so crucial to how we behave, and what you put out you receive in return. I have experienced this personally and believe in it wholeheartedly.

    1. This is the part most people have a hard time grasping that if you want to get to the top you have to look the part.
